the snap

a former manager added me on snapchat, a few months after i left. i didn’t think much of it. small talk. how are you? good. rinse, repeat. typical empty chatter.

then, one night, a snap slipped through. him in bed. shirtless. a soft grin. goodnight written in white text. i stared longer than i should’ve. replied anyway. goodnight to you too, sir.

the next day, another. above the waist, steam curling in the background. stepping out of the shower. you like?

i told him the truth. not gonna lie, i’m aroused.
oh yeah? he shot back. let me see it.

and i did. no hesitation. no guilt. bang. sent.

a swift reply. knew you were huge. could see it through the scrubs.

it’s never gone past that. just the occasional flash of skin. nothing explicit enough to ruin us. just enough to remember what could have been.
